The Ethno-Memorial Complex «Map of Kazakhstan «Atameken» is an open-air museum, opened on September 8, 2001. The main purpose of the creation of the ethno-memorial complex «Atameken» is to provide the public with the opportunity to become acquainted with the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Kazakhstan, as well as to promote Kazakh culture and preserve its values for future generations. Here, a miniature model of Kazakhstan, covering an area of 4.3 hectares, is displayed, featuring miniature replicas of natural and architectural landmarks from various regions of the country.

The map includes 17 regions and cities of republican significance - Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. The museum conducts tours in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
