Winter
Winter lasts from December to February and can be quite frosty — the temperature sometimes drops to −30 °C and below. But the city is especially beautiful at this time: snowy landscapes and festive lights create a cozy atmosphere. Don’t forget warm clothes, a hat and gloves.
Spring
Spring in Astana is short but very pleasant. The snow starts to melt as early as March, and by May the temperature rises to +15...+20 °C. This is a great time for excursions and walks along the embankment.
Summer
Summer is sunny and warm. The average temperature is about +25 °C, and sometimes it can rise to +35 °C. During this period the city hosts many festivals and events, and walks through parks and boulevards are especially pleasant.
Autumn
Autumn is a very beautiful time in Astana. In September the temperature is about +15 °C, the air is fresh and clean. By the end of October it gets cooler, and the city gradually prepares for winter.
