Opened in 2011 to mark the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence, the Mangilik El Arch has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the capital. The arch stands 20 meters high, symbolizing 20 years of independence, and each architectural element carries deep meaning.
The arch is built from white stone and adorned with elegant bas-reliefs depicting Kazakh heroes and the spirit of courage and freedom.
The inscription “Mangilik El” is engraved at the top of the arch. It is a symbol of national unity, spiritual integrity, and generational continuity.
