Botanical garden

The Botanical Garden is the largest and at the same time the youngest park in the capital of Kazakhstan. Today the territory of the park is a large square with a side of 1 kilometer adjacent to Kabanbay Batyr Avenue in the south of the city. In the eastern part of the park there is a pond with fountains and three bridges, the middle of which is a continuation of the Ulytau alley and leads to the arch adorning the entrance to the Botanical Garden. About 90 thousand trees and shrubs from Europe, Asia, and North America are planted here, and among the green areas laid bicycle and jogging paths. The Botanical Garden is used not only as a place for walking and playing sports but also as a venue for city celebrations.
