About the Excursion
A traditional national yurt in Ailand Park — a space of traditions, culture and Kazakh hospitality in the very heart of Astana. Two formats are available: a short ethno-tasting experience or a full immersion into the lifestyle and traditions of the Kazakh people with a tea ceremony.
What to Expect
In the very heart of Astana — the Tamyr Ethno Centre. We invite you to a traditional national yurt in Ailand Park — a space of traditions, culture and Kazakh hospitality.
We have prepared two visit formats.
Option 1 — Ethno-tasting experience (3,000 KZT)
An ideal option for a quick introduction to Kazakh national treats and the atmosphere of a yurt. The programme includes: tary-shai (traditional tea with toasted millet); hot baursaks; tasting of national sweets; a story about tea traditions and traditional Kazakh treats.
Duration: 30 minutes. No advance registration required — you can visit anytime.
Option 2 — Tea ceremony (6,000 KZT, children under 8 years old — 5,000 KZT)
A full immersion into the culture and everyday life of the Kazakh people. The programme includes: a video about the yurt and nomadic lifestyle; a story about the traditions, daily life and sacred meaning of the Kazakh yurt; tasting of 3 types of traditional tea; baursaks and national sweets; a photoshoot in traditional costumes; a master class on preparing zhent/talkan.
Duration: 1 hour. Advance booking is required.

Please be informed that starting from August 3, the ethnic yurt at the Tamyr Ethnocenter will operate by advance reservation only.
All programs, including tea ceremonies, master classes, guided tours, and other activities, will be available exclusively upon prior booking.
