On July 7, 2018, in the Hall of Energy of the Expo Pavillion, the opening of the first Comedy Theater in Astana was announced during the press conference attended by Bolat Mazhagulov, the head of the Astana Department of Culture and Sports, Tursynbek Kabatov, a famous comedian and an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, and Sailau Kamiev, an Honored Worker of Kazakhstan.
Nomad City Hall was officially opened on November 1, 2018 with the support of the Akimat of Astana. Tursynbek Kabatov was appointed Artistic Director of the Nomad City Hall, which included the Comedy Theater, the Nazar Audar Theater, and the World of Humor Theater. Sailau Kamiev was appointed Main Director of the theater.
The theater first opened its doors on December 10, 2018 with Michael Frein's comedy “Theater 180” performed in Kazakh. On February 8-9, 2019, “Merekelik Menu,” the comedy of the French playwright Marc Camoletti was presented to the audience. On March 18-19, 2019, the premiere of the musical comedy “Charley’s Aunt” by the English playwright Brandon Thomas took place.
Our achievements:
The theater’s actor Bidakhmet Ali was the Laureate of the III Degree at the IX International Competition of the Reciters named after Anton Chekhov.
On February 4, 2019, at the “Merry Start” Speed Skating Competition, the artists of our theater took third place.
With the support of the Nur-Sultan Akimat and the Department of Culture and Sports, the theater organized the “Theater Day 2019” event.

1. Head of the troupe Erniyaz Birimkulov, actors Bidakhmetov Ali and Albina Valieva received letters of gratitude from Akim of Nur-Sultan Bakhyt Sultanov.
