Comic Con Astana 2024

On July 25-28, 2024, the III Comic Con Astana festival will take place in the capital of Kazakhstan.

Comic Con Astana is an international festival dedicated to the industry of comics, cinema, video games, anime and other areas of modern popular culture.

Today it is the largest and most popular geek festival in Central Asia , and in terms of its format it is one of the most famous festival projects in the world.

The festival will last 4 days.

The venue of the event is the International Exhibition Center "EXPO".

In 2024, international studios, producers, popular bloggers and professional cosplay artists will take part in the large-scale event.

The festival program will include meetings and autograph sessions, premieres, special screenings and presentations, cosplay shows, a comic book alley, performances by musical performers and dance groups.

World studios will present their own interactive and entertainment stands at the festival site.

A traditional element of the festival’s show program will be an international cosplay competition with famous jury members from Europe and a prize fund of 12,000,000 tenge.

Within Comic Con Astana-2024 Hollywood celebrities are also expected to participate . So, in 2019, the headliner of the festival was Pilou Asbæk, who plays Euron Greyjoy in the series “Game of Thrones”. In 2023, the event was headlined by Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Endgame stars Sean Gunn and Michael Rooker, as well as Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore Secrets actor Alexander Kuznetsov.

Among the special guests who will visit the festival, video bloggers Chuck Review (Daniil Lazarenkov) and Anastasiz (Anastasia Burchuladze), dubbing actors Vsevolod Kuznetsov, Peter Glanz , Islam Gandzhaev , Egor Vasiliev have already been confirmed.

Also in the festival program: 

• Geek fair area with themed products, exclusive merchandise and handmade items.
• Lecture hall where performances and master classes are planned from famous domestic and foreign authors of books and comics, bloggers, actors, artists and other figures of popular culture.
• Gaming area with board games, VR, eSports tournaments and retro consoles.
• Pop Asia exhibition area dedicated to Asian pop culture from anime and manga to J-Pop and K-Pop.

A food court for all festival guests , and a children's area will be open for the youngest visitors.
