Central Asian Robotics Championship
From February 23 to 25, the Al-Farabi Palace of Schoolchildren will host the official Central Asia FIRST Championship, which will feature more than 3,000 schoolchildren from five countries around the world, including Hong Kong and the UAE.
More than 200 teams that have received quotas during the qualifying championships in Kazakhstan and beyond will compete for the title of the best.
The championship will be held in three age categories as part of the global FIRST program: FLL Explore (ages 6-10), FLL Challenge (ages 10-16), and FIRST Tech Challenge (ages 12-18). In addition to robot games, the championship includes an innovative project competition and judging sessions.
The Central Asian Championship is organized by the Astana Education Department, the USTEM Foundation, and the "Daryn" National Scientific and Practical Center, with the support of the Astana Akimat and the Ministry of Enlightenment of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This year's season is dedicated to the theme of arts and performances, and the winners will receive valuable prizes, licenses to participate in international competitions in the USA, Australia, Singapore, and grants to Kazakhstani and foreign universities.
