National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The library building with a total area of 15,000 sq.m. is impressive with its architecture and modern technical capabilities. The library is located on the left bank of the Ishim River, not far fr om Baiterek on Water and Green Boulevard. The library has 32 halls with a capacity of 930 seats (electronic resources, for people with disabilities, literature on art, foreign literature, etc.).

Visitors have a special interest for the Museum of Book, wh ere one can get to know about the history of Kazakh books, writing, publishing, and unique rare publications.

Since 2007 the Kazakhstan National Electronic Library have been formed on the base of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
