Museum of the First President
The Museum of the First President is located in the Nazarbayev Center building, embodying the vivid architectural idea of Sir Norman Foster.
The building represents a huge eye gazing into the sky. According to the architect’s vision, the unique appearance of the building symbolizes the life force of Kazakhstan.
The museum’s exhibition is based on an extensive collection of archival documents, photographs, videos, and exhibits dedicated to various stages of the life and activity of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the history of Kazakhstan’s independence.
The museum halls display collections of state and public awards of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; diplomatic gifts, book editions presented as gifts from heads of foreign states and governments, and international organizations.
In addition to permanent exhibitions, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions.
