As part of the long-term partnership between Kazakh Tourism and Yandex Qazaqstan, three-dimensional models of the sights of Almaty and Astana appeared on the Maps. The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Three-dimensional color layouts of buildings and monuments will help you better navigate the city. They will also allow guests of the northern and southern capitals to get to know the iconic places of Kazakhstan closely, and their residents to look at familiar places fr om new angles.

So, in Astana, you can see the Baiterek Monument, the Mangilik El Triumphal Arch, the Astana Opera Theater, the Central Mosque, the Expo International Exhibition Center. Among the 3D models of Almaty are the Kazakhstan Hotel, the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai, the Koktobe TV tower, as well as the Medeu alpine sports complex, wh ere the Yandex Qazaqstan Day technology conference will be held on June 27.

When planning a trip, you can virtually walk through all the sights of the city in advance, come up with photo angles and walking routes. To see a three-dimensional model, just enter the name of the place in the search bar or click on an object on the map and zoom in on it. Also, all models can be found immediately in the collections.

To do this, go to the Yandex Maps application, click on the search for places and addresses and sel ect "Collections of places". They are prepared based on data fr om the Almaty Tourism Bureau and Visit Astana and are available in Kazakh, English and Russian.

"Our main task is to create modern, intuitive maps that rely less and less on symbols and increasingly display recognizable objects from real life. So, as part of our new project with Kazakh Tourism, in 600 hours of intensive study by the design team, as many as 17 sights of Kazakhstan have acquired volume, color and realistic scale in relation to other objects on the map. Now it will be even easier for users to find the right area or navigate in it, as well as explore iconic places from all angles," said Andrey Stolyarov, head of the Yandex Maps visualization group.

"We are pleased to cooperate with Yandex Qazaqstan. Our joint work is aimed at increasing the accessibility of tourist sites and creating user-friendly navigation. The placement of information on maps attracts more attention to our cultural and historical heritage," said Kairat Sadvakasov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC Kazakh Tourism.
