On November 19, 2024, the “Astana – Milan 2024” roadshow successfully took place in Milan, organized by the Akimat of the city of Astana and the Astana Development Center under the tourist brand Visit Astana, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Italian Republic, the Italo-Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK), Neos S.p.A, and the Italo-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce (CCIK).
 
The event marked an important step in the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy in the tourism sector. During the event, memorandums of understanding were signed: one between the Italo-Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK) and the Astana Development Center, and the other between the Astana Development Center and the Italo-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce (CCIK). These documents laid the foundation for long-term cooperation and the implementation of joint projects aimed at promoting Astana as a tourism and business hub.
 
A key moment of the event was the appointment of Marco Beretta, President of the Italo-Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK), as the Ambassador of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Italian Republic. The status was conferred upon him by Shyrin Musina, Managing Director for Brand and Marketing at JSC “NC “Kazakh Tourism,” in collaboration with the Astana Development Center. This appointment highlighted Italy’s strategic importance as a partner in promoting Kazakhstan’s tourism potential and strengthening bilateral relations.
 
The event’s program included presentations on Astana’s tourism potential, business meetings, and cultural activities. As part of the roadshow, infopack tours were also raffled for Italian media representatives, generating additional interest in Astana and fostering deeper engagement with the Italian audience.
 
The “Astana – Milan 2024” roadshow demonstrated a successful format for collaboration, laying the foundation for the continued development of tourism and the promotion of Astana as an international tourist and business destination.
