Opening of the new exhibition "Coral Islands" at the capital's aquarium

On March 5, 2024, the grand opening of the new exhibitions "Coral Islands" will take place at the capital's aquarium "Ailand". The event is timed to International Women's Day. The project took several months of work, and equipment was brought in from all over the world.
For the new aquariums, the most modern water purification and maintenance equipment was purchased in England. The capital's "Ailand" specialists assembled and fine-tuned the life support system themselves. All work was carried out at a high professional level.
Seawater is created in Astana. The in-house laboratory takes water samples three times a day to ensure that the marine inhabitants are well in the aquarium.
"Coral Islands" is also a large and unconventional art project. Artificial corals were purchased from an international supplier, and their assembly, as well as the external decoration of the aquarium walls, was done by the center's team of artists. It was a painstaking manual labor for several months.
Exotic reef fish from the warm waters of the Pacific and Indian Oceans have already gone through all stages of adaptation. In the first month, all new inhabitants undergo quarantine, at this stage they are examined and observed for diseases. Then they are adapted to the water, living conditions, and diet.
Visitors will be able to admire the beautiful butterfly fish, various types of groupers, snappers, and small surgeonfish from March 5 after the grand opening of the live exhibition.
