M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University

The history of the M. S. Narikbayev KAZGUU University begins on March 14, 1994 with the Decree No. 1591 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev "On the formation of the Kazakh State Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan". The Decree defines: "In order to implement the legal reform and meet the needs of the republic in legal personnel, develop legal education and improve its quality, to form the Kazakh State Law Institute and determine that the Kazakh State Law Institute specializes in training lawyers for state authorities and management, judicial and law enforcement agencies, economic entities."

The Kazakh State Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter — the Republic of Kazakhstan) was organized by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 14, 1994 No. 1591 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 26, 1994 No. 564 on the initiative of the Minister of Justice, legal scientist N. A. Shaikenov. The university was tasked with training highly qualified lawyers who are able to ensure the legal reform carried out in the country in the conditions of socio-economic transformations. Today, the Kazakh University of Humanities and Law has more than 250 teachers, many of whom are the authors of many scientific monographs, textbooks, teaching aids and scientific articles of socio-political publications of Kazakhstan, far and near abroad.
