ENACTUS World Cup of Student Entrepreneurship to be Held in Kazakhstan for the First Time
For the first time ever, Kazakhstan will host the ENACTUS World Cup of Student Entrepreneurship. Students, entrepreneurs, academic leaders, and corporate executives from 33 countries will gather in Kazakhstan for this grand event.
All ENACTUS students’ business projects are aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, serving as a launching pad for the careers of future business leaders. More than 1,000 universities worldwide use the practical ENACTUS platform to foster student leadership and business skills.
The ENACTUS World Cup is an annual event held since 2001, showcasing social initiatives and progress through entrepreneurial activities.
The privilege of hosting the World Cup is a recognition of ENACTUS Kazakhstan’s achievements over the past 15 years and a testament to the high level of trust from international partners.
The ENACTUS World Cup platform will bring together 2,000 participants in a competition format to exchange knowledge, ideas, and experience among young entrepreneurs from around the globe. National champions of the ENACTUS Country Cups will present their active projects, showcasing innovative approaches to addressing environmental challenges, fostering sustainable communities, and inspiring positive changes in people’s lives.
Representing Kazakhstan’s interests is the ENACTUS Kazakhstan 2024 national champion, the team from Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, Taldykorgan.
In addition to the competition for the world champion title, there will also be platforms for early-stage projects. The winner of the Early Stage ENACTUS Kazakhstan 2024 league, the team from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, which won in April, will pitch their project in one of the sessions of the international competition. Their creative ideas and drive for innovation will set an inspiring example for future entrepreneurs.
The ENACTUS Kazakhstan program is one of the world’s leaders, particularly in implementing school entrepreneurship programs. For the fifth consecutive year, the national office has organized the Republican School Entrepreneurship Championship. This year, 116 teams competed for the NextGenLeaders championship title.
The winner of the 5th Republican School Entrepreneurship Championship, the team from Astana Girls’ “Bilim-Innovation” Lyceum, will present their innovative project at the Business Forum. This is a unique opportunity for the youth to showcase their achievements and aspirations, take a step toward their future careers, and contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in the country.
On October 1-2, the ENACTUS WORLD CUP will host an Academic and Research Symposium dedicated to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and entrepreneurship.
