Grandeur inspired by history
Opened in 2011 to mark the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence, the Triumphal Arch “Mangilik El” has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the capital. Its height — 20 meters — symbolizes 20 years of independence, and every architectural element carries deep meaning.
The arch is made of white stone and adorned with elegant bas-reliefs depicting heroes of Kazakh history and scenes symbolizing courage, freedom, and creativity.
At the top are engraved the words “Mangilik El” — “Eternal Nation,” reflecting the idea of national unity and the continuity of generations.
